Destination:
Little Tubu, like its sister camp Tubu Tree, is situated in one of Africa's more fertile oases, and invites the ultimate, intimate bush experience for just six guests – ideal for families or small groups.
Although the two camps are completely separate – each has its own main and dining areas – they are linked by a wooden walkway. Surrounded by lush forests and vast floodplains teeming with wildlife, Little Tubu is ready to introduce guests to exciting game drives and nature walks in the mopane and acacia woodlands.
During winter (May to late September), boating, seasonal catch-and-release fishing and mokoro trips are also available in this Delta wonderland.

Renowned for its predator sightings, from exciting day and night game drives, look out for solitary leopards on the prowl, and wild dogs and hyenas. On a traditional dugout canoe, or mokoro, explore the Delta channels here – alive with scores of brilliant birds, tiny reed frogs and mud-caked hippos. As members of the Tubu Joint Management Committee, we are intimately involved in projects that support sustainable conservation and community projects. Our current focus is on the facilitation of a community-based cultural village tourism venture.
Wildlife:
A wildlife wonderland, guests can look forward to remarkable sightings here on Hunda Island, the largest dryland area in this iconic wetland. Look out for elephant, Burchell’s zebra, red lechwe, southern giraffe, tsessebe and blue wildebeest in the floodplains. Kudu, impala, bushbuck, and leopard are usually seen in the forested areas. A beautiful variety of birdlife can also be seen. Dryland species can be spotted on the larger islands, and a multitude of wetland birds can be seen in the floodplains and waterways.
Little Tubu:
Elevated walkways link the tents to Little Tubu’s lounge and dining area, while the bar and pool areas integrate seamlessly with the environment to take full advantage of the alluring views over the floodplains. The camp is connected to sister camp Tubu Tree by elevated boardwalks.
A bush experience like few others awaits all who visit this charming Okavango safari camp. Little Tubu – Game Drives
Morning and afternoon game drives reveal the spectacular wildlife that can be seen in the area. These are offered in open 4x4 vehicles each accommodating a maximum of seven people allowing each guest a "window" seat.
Little Tubu – Night Drives
Night drives with spotlights allow you to find those nocturnal animals you wouldn’t see during normal daytime drives. Porcupine, aardwolf, serval, large spotted genet and lesser bushbaby are just some of these.
Little Tubu – Mokoro Excursions
Experience the Okavango Delta gliding along in a traditional mokoro (dugout canoe) which has been used by generations for transport in the region where there are many more serene channels than roads. This excursion is perfect for spotting tiny reed frogs or larger pods of hippos in the deeper water.

Discover by boat and search for water-based wildlife further afield. Good game viewing in the channels further away from camp often yield fabulous sightings of hippos and crocodiles, and maybe even the rare sitatunga.

Fishing with a limited supply of basic equipment is on offer seasonally on a catch and release basis.
* Note that fishing is seasonal as it is prohibited by Botswana law in January and February due to breeding purposes.

The mix of habitat ensures a variety of birdlife to be seen, from flocks of endangered wattled crane and glimpses of the rare lesser jacana on the eastern side, to Meyer’s parrots and Dickinson’s kestrel in the west.

5. Accommodation Contract And Payment
If you make a booking through emporium-collection™ reservation system the accommodation contract comes into effect between you and the hotel of your choice. You pay the confirmed price directly to the hotel. Any claims and obligations out of the accommodation contract only exist between you and the hotel chosen by you. emporium-collection™ does not enter into the contract with you about the accommodation. Rates available and any booking made via the emporium-collection™ reservation system can’t be combined with other offers or promotions. Bookings take place according to the best and currently lowest emporium-collection™ day price in each case. This price is submitted directly by the hotel for the arrival date chosen and is shown in the name of the hotel. Available emporium-collection™ last-minute, seasonal, weekend or special prices will be considered automatically during the booking.
If you want to make a booking after your availability search, you will have to fill in personal details about you and your credit card details. The credit card details are required to guarantee your booking, the charges will be made by the hotel. If you are logged in to your account the personal details will be pre-filled. By clicking the button “CONFIRM REGISTRATION". Charged upon arrival” you make a binding offer to book the selected room. All information about a hotel and the descriptions of a hotel are based on the hotel's own assessment. All content about a hotel that is displayed on the emporium-collection™ websites is provided to emporium-collection™ by the respective hotel and emporium-collection™ acts as the content provider for the hotel only and is thus not responsible for the content, any omissions or typographical errors referring to a hotel. As far as displayed on the emporium-collection™ websites the internationally used hotel classification into stars offers noncommittal information about the hotel's standard, in consideration of self-assessment by the hotel which was provided by the hotel.
All prices displayed on the emporium-collection™ websites are current, day prices, shown in the name of the individual hotel and are valid for all bookings made via the reservation system of emporium-collection™ as described below in section C. All prices have been provided by the hotel and emporium-collection™ acts as content provider for the hotel only and is thus not responsible for any errors of prices referring to a hotel.
For Germany, prices displayed on the emporium-collection™ websites always include service charges and VAT. For other countries regulations and rules regarding taxes differ. Please note, that a visitor's tax might apply in certain locations. In some countries, a local tax and/or a service charge is levied on the travel price or room rate. If you make a booking through emporium-collection™ reservation system the accommodation contract comes into effect between you and the hotel of your choice. You pay the confirmed price directly to the hotel. Any claims and obligations out of the accommodation contract only exist between you and the hotel chosen by you. emporium-collection™ does not enter into the contract with you about the accommodation. Rates available and any booking made via the emporium-collection™ reservation system can’t be combined with other offers or promotions. Bookings take place according to the best and currently lowest emporium-collection™ day price in each case. This price is submitted directly by the hotel for the arrival date chosen and is shown in the name of the hotel. Available emporium-collection™ last-minute, seasonal, weekend or special prices will be considered automatically during the booking.
If you want to make a booking after your availability search, you will have to fill in personal details about you and your credit card details. The credit card details are required to guarantee your booking, the charges will be made by the hotel. If you are logged in to your account the personal details will be pre-filled. By clicking the button “CONFIRM REGISTRATION". Charged upon arrival” you make a binding offer to book the selected room. Prior to making the booking, i.e. prior to clicking the button, you can identify any errors in the data you have provided directly on the website and correct them by clicking “edit” next to the hotel and room description.
