The magnificent Borana Lodge is bordered by the snow-tipped peaks and glaciers of Mt Kenya to the south, and the panoramic mountains and desert to the north. Featuring eight guest rooms of four cottages and two family cottages, beautiful cedar-and-stone thatched accommodation includes en-suite bathrooms, open fireplaces and private verandas boasting exceptional views of the plains below. Room 1 is ideal for honeymooners and is very private, Room 2 has stunning views and two comfortable single beds, Room 3 is wheelchair friendly and can be combined with Room 4 for a family getaway. Rooms 5 and 6 offer a colourful children’s room downstairs for the little ones, and Room 7 and 8 offer two twin beds and a double bed, spacious bathroom and a refreshing private plunge pool. Sharing a sitting and dining room this is an ideal spot for guests travelling with teenage children and friends.
The earthy lodge prides itself on its superb, wholesome fare — the chefs insist on growing their own vegetables, baking homemade breads and fresh pasta. A private orchard supplies juicy fruits for the delicious freshly-squeezed juices.
A spacious sitting room provides guests with an idyllic spot to relax — comfortable sofas and armchairs are dotted around a huge open fireplace, a great place to play board games. This price is submitted directly by the hotel for the arrival date chosen and is shown in the name of the hotel. Available emporium-collection™ last-minute, seasonal, weekend or special prices will be considered automatically during the booking.
If you want to make a booking after your availability search, you will have to fill in personal details about you and your credit card details. The credit card details are required to guarantee your booking, the charges will be made by the hotel. If you are logged in to your account the personal details will be pre-filled.
